About the Course

Most parents don't struggle because they don't care. They struggle because the harder they try to help, the more disconnected they sometimes feel from their teenager. After more than a decade working with teenagers, parents and educators, and over 12,000 hours of direct experience, I've become convinced that many parenting challenges are not caused by a lack of love. They're caused by a gap in understanding. This course introduces six powerful parenting shifts that can transform the way you communicate, influence and connect with your child. Through real-life examples, practical frameworks and honest conversations, you'll learn how to: ✓ Turn confrontation into conversation ✓ Move from manipulation to facilitation ✓ Understand what sits beneath teenage behaviour ✓ Communicate in ways that teenagers can actually hear ✓ Parent from your values rather than your emotions ✓ Build stronger, healthier and more influential relationships This is not a course about controlling teenagers. It's a course about understanding them. Because when understanding grows, relationships grow. And when relationships grow, both parents and children are better able to thrive.

Meet Rabbi Doron Birnbaum

For more than a decade, I have worked with teenagers, parents and educators across schools, youth programmes and community organisations, accumulating over 12,000 hours of direct experience. As a Jewish educator, mentor, podcast host and parent, I have spent years helping families navigate the challenges of communication, behaviour, identity and relationships. The insights in this course are drawn not from theory alone, but from thousands of real conversations with teenagers and parents, as well as my own journey as a father. My goal is simple: to help parents better understand their children and build stronger, healthier relationships that can thrive through the teenage years.

What Parents Are Saying

Discover How Bridging The Gap is Transforming Parenting Experiences

It wasn’t just airy fairy words but hard hitting, substantial information which if used could transform your experiences. And it was confirming. Enlightening. Useful and practical. I felt that I would want to talk to you about my difficult teenagers and you’d understand. But you’d be able to dissect what I said and really help.  So interesting. And entertaining and facing up and voicing the challenges of today. This will go far.

A Father Of Two Teenagers

NW London

Growing up in the London community was challenging, especially as social media  was just becoming strong around then and teachers/parents/mentors didn't know how to handle it. Just want to say it's amazing what you're doing, if only when I grew up there were more like you.
